VetChef Local Lamb Hotpot
Ready made version
Directions
Finely dice the liver and kidney, add to a frying pan with the lamb mince and cook gently until lightly browned and cooked through
Meanwhile, dice or grate the parsnip and carrot (depending on your dog's preference and size), and finely chop the red cabbage
Steam vegetables until soft (5-7 minutes)
Mix the meat and vegetables together and allow to cool
Add in the hempseed oil (or vegetable oil), rosemary and VetChef supplement (plus ashwaganda if using) and mix thoroughly
Store in the fridge and use within 5 days, or freeze on the day of cooking
Recipe Note
Hempseed oil is a great ingredient as it is rich in the essential fatty acid linoleic acid which can be lacking in beef recipes - however it is possible to substitute vegetable oil or olive oil for the hempseed oil if it is not available.
